Sodexo is seeking a full-time Clinical Nutrition Manager 1 for Covenant Living of the Great Lakes.  Located in a 40-acre woodland just four minutes from downtown Grand Rapids, MI, our Continuing Care Retirement Community has a country-home ambiance that is enhanced by big-city advantages you won’t find in most retirement communities. 

This position will provide clinical care to our residents as well as overseeing 10-12 dietary aids.  This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled clinician to take the next step in their career in dietetics.


The successful candidate will:

  • provide nutritional care to the long-term care residents and sub-acute rehab patients;
  • manage a staff of approximately 10-12 dietary aids (scheduling, training, disciplinary oversight);
  • meet DOH/state/federal and company standards;
  • be an active member of the interdisciplinary care conferences;
  • represent the Food & Nutrition Department as a liaison with the medical and nursing staff; and/or
  • support the food service operation as needed.

Position Summary:

Functions as the in-unit lead Clinical leader for a small - medium account. Manages the daily operations of nutrition services through direct supervision of both non-exempt employees and entry-level exempt professional employees.

Key Duties
- Directs daily operations of nutrition programs and ensure customer and client satisfaction levels are met.
-May provide direct nutrition care to population served
-Executes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments; and collects and reports outcomes.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services and promotes nutrition services.
-. - Manages employees to ensure they meet goals, cost controls deadlines, and collect outcomes.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel).
 

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Master's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
